Current Lip Obsession.

MAC pro long-wear lipstick (Goes and Goes)
Lightweight texture, blue violet creamy finish and comfortable longwear combine in this has-it-all pro-class lip colour. Slick in use, applies without need of a top coat- and still lasts up to 12 hours. Won’t feather or transfer, and the colour stays true. Helps lips stay soft and hydrated.

If you hate re-applying your lipstick like I do  and have been wanting to try purple lips I recommend this lipstick.
It is perfect for work and a night-out. Bright lips are in trend this summer. Go for it.

Product Review: Make Up For Ever HD Invisible Cover Foundation && Concealer

Heyah!

I know its been a couple of days but too much has been going on for the past few weeks that even the word 'busy' couldn't describe my situation. I have been trying to post as often as I can AS I promised. Yesterday  was one of my very few days off work and of course I went to local Sephora to combine and shop away!
I have been intending to purchase the Make UP For Ever HD foundation for a while now but I wanted to compare and do my research first. I went into Sephora today planning to purchase a foundation from either Lancome or Make Up For Ever and I believe I chose right. I'm not really a big fan of trying on foundations in stores because 1. I like to believe the salesperson is bullshitting me and just wants to make a sale when it comes to deciding on a color, my complexion is very tricky. I am dark-skinned with an very unusual undertone (it's beige but can sometimes be red). AND 2. I usually don't have much time or patience when I shop.

Well I must say I am a very satisfied with my purchases and had a great shopping experience today going makeup shopping with my cousin who doesn't know crap about makeup but has lately learn a couple of things from me. I felt honored. :)

My color for the foundation is 185 Ebony and for concealer 370 Ebony.

I give both of these products 4.5 stars (every product needs room to improve)

Cost: $$

HD Invisible Cover Foundation ($46 CND $40 USD)       HD Invisible Cover Concealer ($32 CND $28 USD)

As far as I know These can only be purchased @ Sephora in-store and online.

In Fashion Today: Jil Sander

Hey y'all today I'm talking about Fashion pros and cons!

If you really knew me, you'd know that I'm not a brand-whore and that it would take about 6 years of convincing me to buy a sweater for $475. I just don't find the need to be so materialistic.
I own designer pieces but they are usually vintage piece that I can create endless numbers of outfits with.
I don't understand why someone would want to buy a pair of track pants from Dolce & Gabbana when you can get the same quality at Adidas. I mean at the end of the day it's still the same damn thing, doing the same job. I have had a couple of cases where I've gotten into heated arguments leading to a fight with my close friends who spends money recklessly on very materialistic things. My motto is "if you're going to waste money, at least waste it on something beneficial to your everyday use"... like for instance a cell phone. If I was to ever spend money on a designer piece It surely won't be from one of the top mainstream brand names.

I'd go for Jil Sander. Look below to experience the fashion line yourself.

These pieces speaks for themselves. So vibrant, different and beautiful. I wouldn't want it because of its name brand but because it fits my style of clothing and personality.

So spending money you don't have just to stand out from the crowd because at the end of the day you will still be a part of a crowd which will be labeled "Materialistic & Spoiled"  What we need to learn to understand is that our generation is 30x more materialistic compared to prior generations. It's not about spirituality and self-realization like they had in the  '60s anymore. It's much more about having stuff as an expression of who you are as a person.

Life is about finding and creating who you are, not necessarily by what you wear.

Thank you for accepting my honest truth.
Stay beautiful
